Terms of Use

Effective October 22, 2026 · Choreosophy LLC, California, USA

These terms are an agreement between you and Choreosophy LLC (“Choreosophy,” “we,” “us”). They cover the Choreosophy app on iOS, Android and the web, and this website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Choreosophy.

The short version: you must be 18 or older, class details come from studios and can be wrong, so confirm before you go, dance at your own risk, and be decent to other dancers: abuse isn't tolerated, and anything can be reported or blocked from inside the app. Pro renews until you cancel it in your app store account.

How we handle your information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.

Who can use Choreosophy

You must be at least 18 years old. Choreosophy is built for adult dancers and does not allow accounts for anyone younger. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.

You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details private. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and tell us at choreosophyapp@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

Class and studio information

Choreosophy lists studios, class times, levels and prices that we gather from studios’ own websites and booking pages, and that studio owners, teachers and dancers add or correct. We work hard to keep it accurate, but schedules change, classes get cancelled, and prices go up.

Always confirm with the studio before you go. We aren’t responsible for a wasted trip, a missed class, or a price that differs from what we showed. Difficulty levels and skill estimates are guidance, not a guarantee of how a class will feel for you.

Unless a studio has claimed its listing, it is not affiliated with Choreosophy and hasn’t endorsed us. Booking, payment for classes, and anything that happens at a studio are between you and that studio.

Dancing is physical

Dance carries a real risk of injury. You choose which classes to take and whether a class suits your body, experience and health. Talk to a doctor if you’re unsure. Choreosophy doesn’t run any class, employ any teacher, or control any studio, and we aren’t responsible for injuries, losses or anything else that happens at a class you found through the app.

What you post

You can post reviews, community posts, comments, photos, videos, events and class logs. You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display and share it within Choreosophy as the app’s features intend, for as long as it stays up. When you delete it, or delete your account, that license ends, except for copies other people have already shared or that we must keep by law.

You agree not to post anything that:

No tolerance for abuse

Choreosophy has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Posting anything on the list above, or using the app to harass, threaten or exploit anyone, breaks these terms.

You can also email reports to choreosophyapp@gmail.com.

Studio owners and teachers

If you claim a studio, you confirm you’re authorized to act for it, and that the evidence you submit is genuine. If you list yourself as a teacher, the studios and classes you name must be ones you actually teach. You’re responsible for keeping the details you control up to date. We may revoke a claim if we have reason to believe it isn’t legitimate.

Choreosophy Pro

Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks extra features. Prices and what’s included are shown in the app before you buy.

If we change Pro’s price, we’ll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal. Your app store may ask you to agree to it first.

Contributions

You can choose to support Choreosophy with a one-time payment, including the contribution that lets non-Pro members post a community event. Contributions are payments to Choreosophy LLC, a for-profit company. They are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible. They’re voluntary and non-refundable, except where your app store or the law requires a refund.

Props and intensives

Props are points you earn by using Choreosophy and can spend on in-app perks. They have no cash value, can’t be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and are not property. We may change how Props are earned or spent, adjust balances that were earned through errors or abuse, and retire Props entirely, with reasonable notice.

Intensives are time-limited challenges. Each one describes what it takes to complete and its reward, if it has one. Rewards are provided as described in that intensive. We may end or change an intensive, and may withhold a reward that was claimed through false check-ins or class logs.

Using Choreosophy fairly

Please don’t:

Our content

The Choreosophy name, logo, design, and the way the catalogue is compiled and organized belong to Choreosophy LLC. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your own dancing. That license ends if your account is closed.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. What that removes is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we’re required to by law. If we discontinue Choreosophy, we’ll give reasonable notice where we can.

Disclaimers

Choreosophy is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any class information is correct.

Limit on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Choreosophy LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for personal injury arising from classes or studios, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about Choreosophy is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.

Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have that can’t be waived by law.

If you have a dispute

Please email us first at choreosophyapp@gmail.com. Most problems can be sorted out that way. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we can’t resolve informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we both agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead.

Apple and Google

If you downloaded Choreosophy from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. These terms are between you and Choreosophy LLC only, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support, or for any claim relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update these terms as Choreosophy changes. If a change materially affects you, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Choreosophy after that means you accept the updated terms.
